VoxRox Gold (Malvern)

VoxRox Gold, so called because the intention was to sing the “Golden Oldies” of the 1940s to 1960s … however as the confidence and abilities of the group have grown, so have their wish to sing the more modern tunes!

Tuesday morning choir is quite simply, a hoot! Currently it is mostly ladies in two sections: soprano/mezzo and alto; recently joined by a handful of very brave gentlemen. It is a smaller group to Monday, but do not let that put you off – this choir put their heart and soul into their singing and make for a fantastic sound! Fondly referred to as my “Golden Ladies” they are lively, fun, great friends and definitely live life to the full!

Again, no audition is required, just turn up and you will be very warmly welcomed into the fold. Many of the Tuesday ladies love their singing so much that I was asked to increase the session to 2 hours in length and they come along to Monday choir – all of them have performed in our concerts. The Golden Ladies’ performance of “Hot Stuff” and “It’s Raining Men” was quite legendary!

Masses of fun and laughter, we bring the hall to life each Tuesday morning, but equally we care about our community. They have performed at local care homes and sung a private performance for a choir member too poorly to leave home.
